GigClub is a pooled feed of freelance work. It collects gigs published elsewhere — Upwork, LinkedIn and Indeed — and shows members a ranked, filterable list of them.
This page explains what we hold about you, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
What we store about you
Your account email and sign-in, handled by Clerk.
The gigs you save or hide, the filters you set, and your alert preferences (whether alerts are on, and how often they arrive).
Product analytics — which pages and filters you use, in aggregate — and error reports when something breaks.
Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider: request time, route and IP.
What we never store
We never store a gig's full description. A gig is metadata, an AI-written one-line summary and a link back to the source; the description is read once, at scoring time, and discarded.
We never store your résumé, your proposals, or your payment card details. Card data, if billing is ever switched on, is held by Stripe and never reaches us.
Who processes your data
Clerk (accounts and sessions), Supabase (our database, hosted in the EU — London), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments — dormant during the free beta), Resend (transactional and alert email), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (error reporting), Apify (collecting gigs from the sources), and TypeSafe Jev and OpenRouter (AI scoring and summaries).
Each of these is a processor acting on our instructions. Some are outside your country, so using GigClub means your data may be transferred to them under their own terms.
How long we keep it
Gigs older than 7 days are deleted from the database, not merely hidden.
Your saves, hides, filters and alert preferences are kept while your account is open, and removed when you close it.
Analytics and error reports are kept for the provider's default window for our plan.
Your choices
You can turn alert emails off, and close your account, from the Account page — closing it removes your saved and hidden gigs and your preferences.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us.
Cookies
We use a session cookie so Clerk can keep you signed in, and a local preference for your theme. Analytics runs without cross-site advertising cookies — we do not run ads.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
Draft — still to confirm with the owner
- The legal entity's registered name and address (the drafts say only “GigClub”).
- A contact address for privacy requests.
- The data-protection contact or representative, if one is required in your jurisdiction.
- Confirmation of the retention window offered by each processor on the current plan.
